Hi, and welcome to my FAQ page which I hope you find informative and useful.
Can I bring a friend or my wife to fish with us? Yes, by all means. However, depending on the kind of adventure you are booking, there could be a small surcharge to cover the costs of additional equipment and accomodation, etc.
How long does it take to get to Rotorua from Auckland? It takes approximatley two hours to drive through the Waikato region to get to Rotorua. The Waikato area has some of the most productive dairy farms in the North Island. The Waihou River, home of the 2007 Fly Fishing World Championships, and is sometimes worth a stop along the way. I try to schedule in at least two refreshment stops en route.
What do I need to bring? Yourself, and your passion for fishing and the great outdoor's You will need warm clothing, a good raincoat, warm socks, sunglasses and warm head gear.
What if I'm already in Rotorua on holiday or doing bussiness? No problem. I will simply pick you up and drop you back at your accommodation.
Do I need to be fit ,Is there a lot of walking involved ? No you don't need to be fit.In fact some of the best fishing is within sight of my vehical. These adventures are not about walking miles of streams or rivers looking for three or four fish rather it's more about finding large conentrations of fish in one place and setting about to extract them.
